Cat shows

On Saturday the 3rd of November 2012 we attended the Ulster Siamese and all Breed Cat Club show in Bangor. This was our 2nd show but first event showing Marshall as an adult cat. I also applied to have a stall at the show selling handmade cat toys and I set up a kitty Photobooth for owners to bring their winning cats so they could document their success!

The show was a great success, I offered to help set up the show this year on the Friday, lots of hard work but so very worth it, the arena looked great when we all finished.

Saturday was a very early start, up at 6am to get Marshall brushed, fed, watered and toileted before we headed of at 7.30am to pick up Dave.

I was able to get Marshall vetted in and in his pen pretty quickly and this time he took to it very well, he just lay in his pen looking smart!

It was then a mad dash to get the rest of the stall set up and the photobooth ready for the arrival of kitties.

The handmade cat toys were quite popular and a few sold, I do have a few left so will be putting them up on my etsy store over the next week!

Finally all sewn up ready for the cat show tomorrow!!

I have a few cat toys left from the show so I will put them up on etsy over the next few days!

Before the rosettes and awards were handed out I was able to take a wander around the arena to photograph some cats and chat to owners, this was great fun I was able to meet some great new cat people and cuddle some adorable kittys!

At the end of the show it was a bit of a mad dash as kittys started to arrive at the photobooth, here are a few samples from some of the cats that came to get their photos taken.

Charlotte from DaddyOcats brought her two Sphynx and Rex to the booth and what amazing cats they were!

Even though I own a Maine coon I am in LOVE with Sphynx kitties, they are so soft and have the best expressions I could be very tempted to get one someday.

Results came in during the day and Marshall did so well. He was awarded his first Premier Certificate, which was totally unexpected as he was up against some excellent cats and he also won a 1st and 3rd in his two side classes. I was so proud of him as he is only 9 1/2 months old!

Marshall did so well at show today his first PC and a 1st and 3rd in side classes #mainecoon #cat #kitten #catshow #winning

I am so glad I got more involved with this show, I had such a great time and got to do what I love, cuddle kittys and take photos!
